Love you guys!

Love and Hate

I have been tag by Waliz. My opinion about love and hate is like blind and deaf. It makes some parts of me incapable and cannot function well. *sigh*

Love:
  • Being appreciated
  • Being different from others
  • Smiling and being smile back
  • money and spending it (I done this part quite well, until I am impressed)
  • Gossiping about others
Hate:
  • Being gossiped back
  • People forcing me to do something
  • abide to rules (rules are meant to be broken right?)
  • backstabber (especially done by your 'friend')
  • being underestimated
"It is to the credit of human nature, that, except where its selfishness is brought into play, it loves more readily than it hates. Hatred, by a gradual and quiet process, will even be transformed to love." ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter

Define Your Happiness

I were tagged by AngelBaby from Your Caring Angels. However, please forgive me for my different kind of tag. I cannot help but to write a little about happiness. By the way, I am glad to tag along my friend: Hye from Space of Reality. She has a lot of heavy stuffs (karma, describing red color to blind man (!), life, etc) going on in her blog, so I just want to know whether she is happy or not. haha..

You Are 88% Happy

It's unlikely that you know anyone happier than you.
You know how to be happy, no matter what life throws at you.
How Happy Are You?

What is that will make you happy? A new husband or wife? A new house or car, more money or to be better looking? A praise from your special friend or supervisor, a raise in salary or just after bump into someone beautiful? Maybe you are a young person and your definition of happiness is to find a special someone and get married and have children. Maybe you are single and love being one. The question that interest me the most is, how do you define happiness?

I am sure that your definition is totally different from others with regard to the best ways of achieving happiness of yourself. However, there are several theories constituting to the main source of happiness. I extracted some of them from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethnics:
  • Certain goods, such as life and health are necessary preconditions for happiness and
  • Others (wealth, friends, fame, honor) are embellishments that promote or fill out a good life for a virtuous person, but that it is the possession and exercise of virtue which is the core constitutive element of happiness.
Anyone can argue that even without wealth you can also be happy. Ample materials are readily available from the lives of many people to prove that wealth is not equal to happiness. Level of happiness of individuals are different from others. Some only be content with the highest achievement in their career or study, some already satisfy with an average needs. In the persuasion of physical enjoyment we get direct feedback. With emotional enjoyment we often have a barrier of beliefs and assumptions filtering our efforts.

Is there a problem in seeking happiness according to assumptions and beliefs? Not really, unless you have followed the criteria in the mind and your pursuit led to unhappiness. Is it possible that we can cheat our mind to make us happy? I believe we could. After all, we are the one who chooses our own happiness. You are the one to decide who you want to be and what you want to do.

One of the things that make me happy is being appreciated. I would like to take a few lines of this post to express my gratitude for given two awards last week. Hye from Space of Reality and Angelbaby from Your Caring Angels were kind enough to give me a Certified Honest Blogger award and another Interesting Blog award. (The awards can be seen at the right side of this blog) Thank you so much for given me an opportunity to feel happy :D

How do you define your own happiness? It doesn't matter whether it is your long time goal or the simplest thing that will make you happy, just define it for me! My definition of happiness other than being appreciated is:
I define happiness when my mood is high and everything else seems beautiful. Funny isn't it? hehe
How about you? Let us know!

Dirty Little Secret

This was supposed to be an ordinary day.
Friend A : Do you heard about the latest gossip? (in a very loud and disturbing voice)
Friend B : Oh, it's freaking hot story! How did you not know? (rather as an announcement)
My curious voice : Hey, Hey, what are you guys talking about?
Friend A : Hah! This fella is not updated yet lah!
My curious voice : Ok, just shoot me
Friend B : There are new hot pictures in our student sharing network! Here, I already downloaded all of them and even use this picture as my handphone's wallpaper! (sliding his Nokia Expressing Music phone)
My curious voice : My GOD! I know this girl! (and literally jumping in my chair) I must bluetooth them!
Do you understand the conversation above? I hope you do but just in case you misinterpreted this youthful dialogs, may I do the honor to make them clear to you. We just found out the next big thing to be proud off with our university, we also have the naked pictures being exposed in the internet! Yes, yes I know. Now, the modern trend has arrived in our university. Feeling proud of it? Why not?

Just as long it is not my explicit picture circulating in students storage, there should be not problem at all. - quote from an innocent student
I spent most of the lecture that day wondering whether the girl already know her pictures are in the hand of other four thousand plus students. What would she does after this? Can I still see her playing netball every evening from now on? Or she will be forced to stop her study? Only time can tell.

That is the problem when you are sending your personal pictures to others in a conscience of believing the best from everyone. Especially when you are in love with that person who may only use this for his/her own advantage. Love as we all know will not always end with a happy ending.

However, this also make me to think, what if you already sent your naked pictures to irresponsible hands? If I were you, I will have a water marks on those pictures which stated my url (http://hot-shit-form.blogspot.com/). At least, you will be famous and earn hundreds of new visitors. Even lucky, thousands of them. I read about this technique in the Become Famous For Dummies book. You should check it out!

What if you just love your body so much that you are cannot help but to take your own pictures? (I done that couples of time too) If you have a hot body, why not you flaunt it? After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.

I already made my point about this matter in Naked, nude, stripped and sex. Just a remainder, it was only my opinion.
"The fear that seeing naked people in some way harms children is not supported, however, by academic research. The small handful of studies on this topic in psychology and sociology have shown, instead, that children reared in an atmosphere containing family social nudity may benefit from the practice." -Mark Storey in Children, Social Nudity and Scholarly Study
One thing for sure is that when your explicit pictures or videos start being passing around, famous and important person will suffer the most. For example, Malaysia Health Minister has to step down after a sex video with his 'personal friend' was sold in the black market. (click here to read more) He was later apologies for his indecent behavior, but his political career has came to the end. Others like Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson, the video will only just help them shot to fame.

If your pictures are posted in internet, how do you react? Does it wrong to send your naked pictures to others? And whether the responsible person who posted those pictures in the internet is bad? How about people (like me) who help to distribute them to other friends? Moreover, what about self obsess person who just like to take pictures of their body? Some people said that these people are socially dysfunctional, do you agree with them?

Now, I need to rest my head down. I hope that you will answer those questions because right now I must reformat my thought. Not every day is like today. And this was supposed to be an ordinary day. *sigh*

What Is Your Definition of Friend?

I could write you a letter,
But what would it say?
Could it make things better?
Would it make everything okay?

I could write you a song,
Full of love hope and grace.
Would you tell me what went wrong?
Could you say it to my face?
What is a friend? We all know a lot of people, we call them acquaintances. We work with a lot of people, mostly referred to as co-workers. We also have come across colleagues, classmates, roommates, neighbors and even family! What, then, makes them stand out as a friend? What promotes them to the next level?

Could it be time? If you have known someone since elementary school, and you are now a college graduate, is that person a friend? Does time automatically decide ones status? Even if you only share festive cards once a year? Are they still a friend due to their 'renewal of friendship' once a year at holidays? Is their holiday card simply a way to tell the other person, that you are still in the game, therefore still your friend? And is this done, so that in the future, if you need something this friend has to offer, you can tell them that you are their oldest friend, so you owe me? What are old friends for?
The tender words are spoken
Each body and soul bared
Told secrets over endless days
Often doing more than dared

New world beyond my door
With intrigued and intensity
Now we have shared our hearts
A bond now made it permanently
My greatest fear that I will lost most of my memories about my oldest friends. Some of them are still well keep, but others are deteriorating away. It was like my new memories of friends keep pushing my old memories far back in my vault of mind. I miss their presence but it was like ages ago. I afraid to call or meet them because I don't think we will have anything to talk about. But I do know one thing, I will do whatever it takes to keep them inside.
It took us little time and effort
The bonding as strong as glue
I now promise never to untie
The strings I have tied with you

The understanding of each other
Breaths to take, we breathe the air
As the relationship interchanges
Knowing our loving hearts are there
I have met a lot of friends from my heavily involve what so called online networking sites through Myspace, Facebook, Friendster and a lot more less famous sites. Adding all of them together, I believe it will accumulates more than 3000 friends.

We are usually 'friends' with them every time we're online, have their screen names on instant messenger but rarely IM them, and you would stop and talk with them for a few minutes if you ran into them on the street somewhere randomly (like, 'whoa, what are you up to these days? ahhh, cool! cya!'), but you wouldn't take the time to have coffee or dinner with them. But do all of them you call friends? No, we call them good acquaintances. You only meet them in cyberspace but you wouldn't really have anything to talk to them about if you are not in a large social setting.
The greatest Gift,
in the end
was a family
and a Friend.
An ear to lend
a hand to hold,
and you,
my Friend -
your heart of gold.
Finally, I have finished this post. It does took me a lot of time (plus, I suddenly got a fever couple days before) but I hope it will makes you to think and asking yourself, how do you define a friend??
