Pekan Rabu and Question for The Day

Pekan Rabu or in English; Wednesday Market (seriously, I am not making that up) is a market that is famous in Alor Star, Kedah; situated in the north of Malaysia. Shockingly, when I was back in my hometown in Johor (south region of Malaysia), I found out that there is also a Pekan Rabu. My mother, my little brother and I went there on Wednesday (it only open on Wednesday, which is why it was called Wednesday Market, duh) and I captured few pictures there. Since I am not feeling that well yet, I think it would be nice to share with you these colorful photos. Lots of women clothing were sold there, which is why I found the trip was a little bit boring. Hot and sweaty too (totally different from shopping HERE)! Thank God I brought along my camera. Cheers. Enjoy the pictures.

Question for The Day

I always try to keep my blog fresh (even though I am only updating it when I’m free and feeling well – darn you bad health). Long story short, I will introduce a Question for The Day (Q4TD) where at the end of each post, I will ask a question for the readers. The question may or may not relate to the post. Hi guys! I am in a full swing this weekend. I am still waiting for your reactions on my last post, Life’s Greatest Lesson. Someone was complaining to me the post was ‘quite heavy to take’. So, I am trying to lose it a little bit by posting pictures from my Kelantan trip. I went there with my family and my brother’s fiancé during one of the weekend in between my industrial training.

Kelantan is a state in the north-east of Malaysia. It is an Islamic state, which makes it quite different from the rest of the states. They don’t have night clubs or cinemas there, and even the performers will be wearing scarf or tudung when performing there. Even though 95% of the population are Malay, I am easily impressed when I saw a Chinese talking in Kelantanese dialect.

Sorry for the blurry images. The weather is too hot for me to go outside of the car to snap the pictures. Plus, I was in a moving car at that time. LOL

I suddenly feel like being in Indonesia where all the citizens neglecting their races talks in a unify language; Bahasa Indonesia. Apart from that, Kelantan is famous with its songket and batik, and I have the opportunity to see the making of batik!
